Re: [opensuse] Is opensuse@opensuse.org == suse-linux-e@suse.com ??
Hi Per-Olov, not so long ago the email address for the list changed to the new opensuse@opensuse.org. As for the filter... why don't you use the tag "[opensuse]"? HTH, Martin ----- Original Message ---- From: Per-Olov Sjöholm <pos@incedo.org> To: opensuse@opensuse.org Sent: Friday, February 9, 2007 12:10:24 PM Subject: [opensuse] Is opensuse@opensuse.org == suse-linux-e@suse.com ?? Hi Just subscribed to opensuse@opensuse.org... I created a sieve filter to sort TO or CC mails with this address to a special folder in my mailbox. 95% of my Suse listmails mail goes to this folder. However... the other 5% goes directly to my inbox. These 5% are sent TO or CC suse-linux-e@suse.com. I can see that most of these suse-linux-e@suse.com mails are sent from @suse.de people... Is this suse-linux-e@suse.com an alias to opensuse@opensuse.org or what? Of course I can add another sieve sorting filter. But I want to now if there are even more aliases.... Martin, two things: Top-Posting is not very welcome on this ML. And tagging on Subjects is the worst ever idea people had on Mail-Filtering. The only real clean filters for Mailing-Lists is filtering according the X-Mailinglist Header. Everything else is nonsense. Could someone explain why when I expand to see all headers in Thunderbird I can never find "X-Mailinglist" ? FWIW, when I expanded your message in Thunderbird, I can see that header. Thunderbird version 1.5.0.9 (20060911) on Suse 9.3 Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, that caused me to go the extra mile. It turns out that that I had so many headers that the X-Mailinglist" one was off the screen at the bottom. To make matters worse I couldn't expand the screen to catch all the headers. Furthermore, Thunderbird doesn't put up a scroll bar when the headers exceed the screen size. That in itself seems like it could be a bug or feature enhancement which I may log. The way I saw it was to save off the email and then use vi to find it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I see the same symptoms but fortunately my screen is big enough that the header is visible :) Thunderbird does take space from the message list area to expand the message/header display area, but there are more headers that I can't see and there's no scroll bar or other way to scroll that I can find. So I'd say go ahead and bug report it. Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Done. It looks like this has been going on for years. I just added my 2-cents to the bottom of an existing one. Thanks, Bob -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

same here with seamonkey daylybuilt (today), but there is an easy fix: open the source, there you can see all jdd -- http://www.dodin.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It has been that way since I met that program or its predecesors.

:-) Life is easier than that: use the "view source" menu entry. It has a shortcut key, also. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
