[S.u.S.E. Linux] wget --mirror --exclude-directories ...,...,...
Hi there! I want to use wget to mirror a directory tree (via ftp), but exclude some of the subdirectories. How would I actually specify those subdirectories to be excluded? I tried various things, * like naming them relatively to the root of that tree, * like naming them absolutely -- like the root of that tree itself, but to no success. What do I do wrong? Hi, again! Helped a lot the last time! Thanks! Can you create a user called kill-9 in 5.2 version? I mean I can create it but then I can not login with that username. All I get is the next empty login prompt ( never asked for the passwd). I was able to use that username with the RedHat with no problems for instance. Not recommended to use a hyphen. Quite a lot of sysadmin tools will barf when given a name with one in. an Underscore is probably fine though as it's not a 'special' character. just think of it as confusing when you enter: u - kill-9 Looks ugly don't it! Mark alexm@hr60.tx.symbio.net wrote:
