Trying to get xawtv going on a new install of 9.0. ATI 8500AIW card. Seems like in my old 8.2 I downloaded file set to update X11 from the Gatos Video for Linux Project, but this site seems to be down. Error message says no / dev/video0, but when I look for it, it is sitting right there. What am I missing now? Is there another site with files, or should I install the ATI driver from the ATI site? Seems there was some discussion about the relative difference in the ATI driver file(s) and the Gatos, but I did not heed whatever conclusion there was as I was working fine at the time. Any suggestions? TIA, Richard

The only way I've found to get my ATI AIW 8500DV to use the AIW features is with the Gatos drivers. I lose 3D support with these. Haven't seriously tried them under 9.1 Pro yet. The Linux drivers from ATI do not support the AIW protions of their cards. They do have 3D support. The standard ATI drivers in SUSE do not support the AIW portion of the ATI cards. They do have 3D support. Stan
