I need help.

I have a box with SuSE 8.1 with this kernel (uname -a): 2.4.19-4GB #1 Mon August 4 (i686) unknow

This kernel is k_deft (and i need it´s). It´s run Ok on Duron, Athlon and Pentium II > processors but in K6-II no.

I found this because while the inittab is run; any errors occurs with respawn too fast messages in inittab entry´s.

Marcelo I would check your set up. I have been running 8.1 on several K-6 II and K-6 IIIs here with the deft kerrnal (right out of the box) with no problem. I have had trouble with the USB ports but using legacy hardware everything works. I memory seves me right, there was a BIOS patch for some motherboards to make K-6 II work correctly. You might have to try and search thoose out. BoB C
