I installed 6.3 and recompiled the kernel. When I try to access my CDROM, I get the following error in the xconsole of the KDE: Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: ATAPI device hdb: Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: Error: Unit attention -- (Sense key=0x06) Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: Power on, reset or bus device reset occurred -- (asc=0x29, ascq=0x00) Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: hdb: tray open If I try again to mount the CDROM I get this: Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 64 Dec 29 02:14:38 nariana kernel: isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=03:40, iso_blknum=16, block=32 Does anybody have any ideas?
