Actually, you can find the vanillia kernel sources from this url: ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.2/linux-2.2.x.tar.bz2 (replace the x by the sublevel version number (eg: 15) NOTE: don't forget to remove the old /usr/src/linux link before you uncompress the source tarball.
