I used to have a firewall w. ipchains 2.2.1x I upgraded to 2.4 w. suse7.1 and couldnt get ipchains working even though It should have, so I upped to iptables. I run the monmotha firewall script for iptables, seems ok I cant get icq to connect apart from through the icq servers, anyone have any ideas. It says you should open UDP 4000 and this huge wacko list of tcp ports or alternatively open some and tell your icq client to use just those. Ive tried opening 2000-2020 and telling licq these are the ones, but still no joy. Anyone know how to get icq working correctly w. firewall ? thanks dids
