[opensuse] OpenSwan or StrongSwan ???
Hi! Anyone can tell what is actual difference between these two? Is StrongSwan really more secure then OpenSwan, or is just another fork of FreeSwan? Basically I'am need to setup VPN between several locations (offices), so all subnets will see each other (act as one large net),plus several mobile workers which move around the world. Any suggestion(s) are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Use openVPN, IPSEC is probably not what are you looking for. -- "We have art in order not to die of the truth" - Friedrich Nietzsche Cristian Rodríguez R. Platform/OpenSUSE - Core Services SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development http://www.opensuse.org/

I use OpenVPN, which has Linux and Windows versions. However, I only use it with a couple of computers, to access my home network and use static keys. You'd probably need a key server. A friend of mine uses it with a key server at his work. As I understand it, IPSec VPNs, such as xSwan tend to be a bit of overkill for many applications. However, I have set up some IPSec VPNs on business grade routers, that had support for it built in. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
