Changing kdm login screen resolution
Where does one go to change the screen resolution for the kdm login screen? I have an nVidia GeForce4 MX440 card that shows a yellow-lined screen when the boot gets to the kdm login screen. I have to CTL-ALT-BKSP and restart X to see the prompt. I thought maybe the resolution could be lowered to solve the problem. -- Cheers, Trey --- "There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. I believe -- but I could be quite wrong -- that when you set the parameters for the X server, they affect all screens on your terminal including kdm. It's easy enough to check: change the resolution that you see when you're logged in and then see if kdm changes in the same way. If you want to explore this subject, look at the stuff in /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm. My quick examination suggests that kdm's resolution is inherited from the X server. Paul Abrahams
