Printer Server and W2K
Hi! I have a problem with my printer server. My network have linux workstations and windows workstations. The windows workstations are samba machines that access to a Linux samba server. All accounts are in linux and the windows workstations access to this accounts on the server machine. All works well but my the windows machines cannot print to the printer server. The printer server is the same machine that works as a samba server. The printer is configured in the w2k workstations but i got a message "Access dined". I tried to change the permissions on the server to 777 recursevely in the path /var/spool/lpd but mothing changed. When i restarted the daemon it changed back to the default permissions 700 and owner lp.lp. Any suggestion ? Thanks. -- Farewell. "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." "Do or do not. Hi Try to enter the address of the printer as \\<ip-number>\share_name in windows.. I have found sometimes, that M$ does not work properly with names that has been defined in lmhosts. Jaska. Viestissä Maanantai 16. Joulukuuta 2002 18:40, Joao Reis kirjoitti:
