I have a problem with Real Player 10 under SuSE 9.2: if i want to play a ''ram'' file i got a msg: 'Cannot open the audio device. Another application may be using it.' Other problem is that when i open movie file (on the Internet), movie play but without sound. I installed Real Player from SuSE DVD. Mitja

Which desktop are you using? Is another application using the sound card - run "System Monitor" and see? David -- "Never offend people with style when you can offend them with substance" -Sam Brown

Are you using the artsd backend with amaroK? If so, closing amaroK will not automatically kill the artsd instance which will keep the audio device busy. Do 'ps ax | grep artsd' and see if arts is still running; then you could kill those instances ('killall artsd') which should resolve your problem. Regards, -- Andreas Philipp Noema Ltda.
