Hi Dominic, Are you using the stock SuSE 7.2 kernel or one you have built? I had the same problem, caused by omitting a module when I rebuilt the kernel. This has been discussed here recently, but in connection with recent kernels, I think there are problems with APM post 2.4.10 kernels.
