I don't have findutils installed but probably insserv locate might do it. Go into YaST-->install/remove and search for adminguide and install the for your language.
You should also install "findutils-locate", which will put in place a cron job that rebuilds the locate database daily. It will do so at 4:14 AM or the next time the system is up following that time.

You may need to su to root, to -> updatedb, which on my machine is done by cron job.

man find, and point the query at your dvd with the disk in it.

There is a cronjob that should do it daily, unless you dissabled it somehow. Or run "updatedb" manually.

Use pin, if finds files from the distro even if not installed. All documentation is somewhere under /usr/share/doc. There is a "manual" directory there that has what you are looking for, if installed. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
