If you have it already: (I have two copies) /usr/local/share/appdata/vmware-player.appdata.xml /usr/share/appdata/vmware-player.appdata.xml I think you can safely ignore it. It seldom changes. (FTR: I've abandoned all use of Player. I still run Vmware, but the first time that starts giving me problems I'm abandoning that as well). VirtualBox is THAT good these days. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done.

VMplayer is not installed from rpm, so that conflict doesn't come from vmplayer itself. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

No, it is not new. What a bad memory I have sometimes! https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2017-01/msg00146.html Solution is: rm /usr/share/appdata/vmware-player.appdata.xml - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
