Hey guys & gals, Don't know if there are some still experiencing problems with kmix starting up with KDE or not, but I think I found a simple solution. I thought I had it solved a couple of times already, but it kept coming back, as many here have experienced as well. I went into the Settings>Configure KMix and unchecked "Restore Volumes on login". Restarted KDE and guess what? No KMix! Don't know if that will work for you or not, but it seems to be the solution here. regards, Lee
