RE: [SLE] logging into Windows NT
Hoi Joost, (it's the only Dutch word I know :) ) [snip]
printer services and accessing shared drives would also be nice, but i'll make that my next goal. first, i'd like to be able to read my e-mail!
As Koos Pol rightly adviced you on his last email (before mine, I mean), you could either ask your SysAdmin to setup a pop3 account for you, or you can use a Linux email client to connect to the M$ Exchange server. Take a look at: http://mahogany.sourceforge.net/ and/or http://www.ximian.com/apps/evolution.php3 [snip]
when i boot, linux (SuSE 6.4, BTW) says at a certain point: "starting service dhcp client for eth0". this takes a second, and then it says 'done'. but still, the network is unreachable.
hmmm, it seems like your routes are gone... what's the output of 'netstat -rn' when connected? what's the content of /etc/resolv.conf ? what's the content of /etc/route.conf ? HTH, Martin
