For the past couple hours I cannot even ping opensuse.org (195.135.223.50) Anyone else? -- Roger Oberholtzer
I had trouble earlier but I checked again after seeing this and it works for me now. On Tue, Jul 23, 2024, 1:54 PM James Knott <james.knott@jknott.net> wrote:

But looking at the "Received:" headers on your post makes me think the problem was a connectivity issue on your end. Your email was delayed until mail-yw1-x1131.google.com picked it up less than 20 min ago: Received: by mail-yw1-x1131.google.com with SMTP id 00721157ae682-6694b50a937so51427237b3.0 for <users@lists.opensuse.org>; Tue, 23 Jul 2024 12:46:42 -0700 (PDT) From there it went almost immediately into into the OpenSUSE email infrastruction and got to my server in seconds. -- Bob Rogers http://www.rgrjr.com/
some sites block ping. I have cox.net because this is the city of Irvine, They block ping. But just now the site comes up in FF so its not down. CWSIV On Tue, Jul 23, 2024 at 12:47 PM Roger Oberholtzer < roger.oberholtzer@gmail.com> wrote:

At some point I could access opensuse.org and it said: Connection to OBS is unavailable. Functionality of this site is limited. And that was all it provided: the message. So perhaps various bits were not available. The delay in my message to was perhaps that opensuse.org did not accept the message for a while. Being down and all. No matter. All seems back now. There was some non-availability of hosts like download.opensuse.org (and an expired certificate afterward). At least, this can be handled if you happen to install the package openSUSE-repos-Leap. This will change your repos' URL to cdn.opensuse.org instead of download.opensuse.org. Helped here, at last ;) Werner --

Yep, can confirm. It was down yesterday afternoon/evening. I got an email from a reader about 2PM BST saying "openSUSE is in trouble, I read on Distrowatch and went to check the website and it's gone!" I checked. It was. It continued to be down hours later; I checked at 4:25PM BST (checking my history right now for this) and it still was. When I checked this morning, it was fine. -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lproven@cix.co.uk ~ gMail/gTalk/FB: lproven@gmail.com Twitter/LinkedIn: lproven ~ Skype: liamproven IoM: (+44) 7624 277612: UK: (+44) 7939-087884 Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053
