Hello Linux folkz, I'm about to purchase SCSI DVD ROM for my Linux box. I understand that there is no problem with reading general data and music files from DVD's in Linux but there is still unclear situation with watching DVD movies on Linux box. Could somebody please tell me or point to the source of information where I can read how to watch DVD movies on Linux.
You have two options, hardware or software. Creative has a hardware decoder card that works with linux called a dxr2 or something. Snoop around the livid page for details www.livid.org IIRC. For the software method look around opendvd.org. Good luck, Tim
