Hello List, I am running openSUSE 10.2 (kernal v2.6.18.8-0.9-default). I patched my system this past Friday, including a kernal patch, and after restarting the system my display resolution will not go above 800x600. Prior to the reboot I was running with a resolution of 1024x786. I am running an nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X, nVidia driver version 1.0-9639. sax2 correctly identifies the video card and shows my display resolution set to 1024x768. When I test the sax2 settings the display only shows at 800x600, regardless of what I have configured. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks! Jesse

Just to rule it out: you do not have any other device connected to your video card? Like a TV or something like that? IIRC the MX440 in my gold old PC only came up with 800x600 as long as I had connected a TV to it while booting.
