Hi, A while back I write that I couldn't burn a CD on SuSE 9.3. I am now able to do so, with a strange procedure: I first need to mount/unmount an existing CD. After that, cdrecord can detect media in the drive and will perform the burn. Still a mystery, but at least I can now burn a CD!

I missed the original thread, but I hope someone told you that the drive automount feature messes up several cd and dvd burning packages... Did you change the type from subfs to iso9660, or whatever is applicable for you? I fell over the problem a long time ago - so long that I just fix it when I install SuSE and move on without thinking... Mike- -- Mornings: Evolution in action. from fstab under 9.1 this was added late after original install. /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,users,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 Ill see what 9.2 comes up with in a week. Too many glitch reports in 9.3 for my liking. -- ___ _ _ _ ____ _ _ _ | | | | [__ | | | |___ |_|_| ___] | \/
