Hey Group; Has anyone tried this card "ATI Redeon 9200 128M AGP 8X" card . It seems that the 9100 has dried up. My concern comes from MS causing headaches for Linux. Features are normally not a problem. Is it suppoted readily by the different X servers? -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org Info: http://www.knoppix.net

ftp://ftp.gwdg.de:0/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/X/XFree86/ATI/suse82/fglrx/2.9.13/ You can find the rpm's for the drivers here as well as a README dealing with installing..etc..etc. I'll warn you. I have a 7500 so I've not tried to make these work but I seem to remember someone on this list posting that they work. Excerpt: The driver supports RV250, RV280, R200, RV350, R300, R350 chipsets of ATI. Popular boards using these chipsets are: - ATI Radeon 8500 / 9100 - ATI FireGL 8700 / 8800 - ATI FireGL E1 / E1+ - ATI Radeon 9000 - ATI Radeon 9200 - ATI Radeon 9500 - ATI Radeon 9600 - ATI Radeon 9700 - ATI Radeon 9800 - ATI FireGL Z1 / X1 / X1+ It looks like it should work for you. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.
