Desperate - need SuSE 7.1 soon!!
I did something incredibly, no, phenomenally STUPID last night and obliterated my entire linux installation. I had wanted to play around with Linux From Scratch and was messing around with some new partitions. For some reason I decided to convert my linux partition from a primary to a logical partition. Oh yeah, I wanted to extend my root partition (reiserfs) and I was under the impression that the partition should be logical & not primary (not sure where I got this idea). I was using Partition Magic and when I tried to do this it gave me an error and said the operation was cancelled. I clicked on OK and poof, my entire root partition was gone. I could not recover it, so I figure I might as well start over! If anyone from SuSE is monitoring this, I would REALLY like to know how soon this might be. I know it must be fairly soon, so there's no point in me going out to buy 7.0. Any hints?
