you can't format them if they are in use, only from an external system (usb key, dvd...) if you don't master openSUSE, begin with stable 13.2, not tumbleweed :-) jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Please elaborate on the steps taken. Currently you describe two problems: 1. you have two equal WiFi icons in the system tray, as I interpret your message correctly. 2. At a certain moment you want to partition your disk. At what moment? When you install from DVD quite early in the process you are requested to accept a proposed setup or to change the setup of the partition. At that moment you do not have a system tray nor do you need a WiFi connection. At that moment you can use any partitioning setup you like, because you are not using the disk. You may even change the type of partitioning, GPT or MSDOS. If you really want to make a fresh install, reformat the disk and choose your preferred type of partitioning. Obviously all your data on the whole disk is lost in that case. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
