What do you mean by "no access"? Did you mount etc.? -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A. P. J.

What do you mean by "no access"? Did you mount etc.? Sorry, here more explanations. With my first installation of SuSE 7.2, there is an icon CD-Rom on my desktop (KDE), when i click on it ==> ( original message in french so i translate) Unable to mount the periphical (device maybe). error reported Mount: No media found. When i check the properties of the link: Device: /dev/cdrecorder readonly Mount point: /media/cdrecorder So two questions: why not point to dev/sr0 or sr1 where is my second CD-Rom
thanks for your help. Vincent
Hello I have a strange problem. Out-of-the-box SuSE 7.2 is working normally with ADSL when running 2.2.19 kernel and SuSEfirewall. When I switch to 2.4.5 kernel, ADSL starts to hang from time to time. It does not matter wheter I use SuSEfirewall or SuSEfirewall2. I have also tried to play around with all settings, read the dhcpd manual, but I could not find any reason why this happens. There is no errors in any logs, no debug-info that could tell me where to look for. I can get the line back up by running "/etc/rc.d/dhclient restart". When the line goes dead, it is really dead. No pings go thru, nothing. It could stay up for hours, sometimes just few seconds. ifconfig and route tells me that everything is as it should be. I'm stuck. I don't know where to even start lookin. Can anyone start digging this one with me? J. Tamminen
