[opensuse] What is the status of fish:// in KDE4?
Listmates, Does anybody know when fish:// will be fixed in KDE4? I have a number of apps, quanta, etc.. that need fish, not to mention just jumping on konqueror to go get files from the office from home. Where can I find more information on this? -- David C. Hi David, I also use fish:// a lot to transfer files from home to office and vice versa. As far as I can tell, it works nicely with Dolphin and also with Konqueror under KDE4. Dolphin is version 1.1. Konqueror is version 4.1.3, release 69.2 (same KDE version). I haven't had any problems yet. I also regularly use fish://, so that's definitely one feature we need from KDE 3.5. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Coincidentally, we noticed a number of bad practices in the fish:// ioslave that cause it to stall when copying large files or many files, as shipped with 11.1, we're working on a fix for these. These aren't new in KDE 4, they have probably been in fish since it was first written. It works ok for the odd file here or there. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465718 Will
