I gave up on KWinTV. It's buggy as hell and nobody appears to be maintaining it. I'm currently using Xawtv though Zapping looks interesting, but it hasn't been updated in a while.

I tried Xawtv and had the same problems with it as I am with Kwintv. Seems the problem is with V4L somehow....

There's a new Xawtv every week or so. They're really quick on keeping it up to date with the BTTV drivers, but that's probably because they maintain the drivers.
