Hi, in order to test for bug 567324, I had to install Gnome in my test partition on this laptop (with 42.2), which has only 7 GiB. I did the testing (the bug was solved) but gnome itself performed badly. The screen was so dark that I could barely see, had to peer at the screen inches away. Gnome also ignored the system keyboard settings (Spanish), reverting to USA so that I had difficulties typing the response. So after testing, I went back to XFCE and tried to uninstall Gnome. Uninstalling the pattern does nothing, I had to manually select for removal, package by package in YaST. And YaST wanted to install KDE Plasma components instead! I had to taboo those. System was so bad afterwards (no network manager) that I had to install the system, again, from scratch, plus data/config recovery from backup. -- Cheers/Saludos Carlos E. R.
