You must be in root to add a channel (eg: inst-source, type yast2), type this command in root: add channel --add inst-source type= yast2 baseurl= ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OS S/inst-source/ if you want more informations to add another channe, you can contact me by mail fred21@fred21.be See you Frédéric

I was in root, but it was a lack of the rpm-ptyhon, that caused the rpm file to not be installed correct. First I used Midnight Commander, and it told me about the dependency. Then I ha dhte idea, that using Yast2, it would be ok, as I had the idea, that Yast2 is taking care of dependencies. But no. I used Yast2 by Yast2 -i filename. Now its working. Thank you for allowing me to mail you direct, but I think it's ok now. In the future if I have problems. I'll send you a querymail. /Erik
