Hello, the SuSE RPM includes the resmgr patch, this is ok because it can nicely be removed with a simple undef. But: Some tools (like CDWServer) http://joerghaeger.de/webCDwriter/pro.html which do not work with the resmgr patch do something like this A=`cat cdrecord | strings resmgr ` if [ "$A" != "" ] then error fi The attched patch make sure the not even the resmgr string is in the binary, if resmgr is undefed. It would be nice if it could be applied.
