I have an old laptop hard drive that I put in an external hard drive case. I know that it came with a power tap for connecting into the keyboard (5V?) if required due to lack of power off USB. But I would like to buy (junk store has tons, I probably do to) an external transformer. Due to lateness of the hour and brain being fried thanks to continual problems with next door neighbor (thinks my property is thiers, and loves to threaten me with the Pit Bulls) I am making it harder then it should be. Yes, and perhaps they you will remember what question you meant to ask... You left us guessing.
