Since I am not real familiar with Sun hardware, I will try to explain what kind of system I am running. I have a Sun Enterprise 3500 that is using a fiber cable to connect the "controller" for the hard drives to the main processor board. The setup detects that I have a SCSI cdrom and tape drive, but it does not detect any hard drives. Is there a special option to get this to work, or is this Sun "feature" currently not supported? Thanks, -Michael
Jin the Sparc-suse mailing list....I asked one of the developers that used to work at SuSE and that is what he suggested.....it might also be that you will need a module (driver) loaded for the controller before Linux can see that attached drive array.
