I'm sorry, but this is an openSUSE support mail list, not a SUSE support mail list. Different distributions. You probably need to contact a commercial support representative at SUSE. However, maybe there is someone who knows the answer to your question. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
Short answer is yes. In fact ASAP is actually developed on top of SLES. And the benefit of that is there are many automated tools included in SLES for sap that are used to easily install and configure sap on SLES for example saptune... Here is a link on how to actually do this in the SUSE best practices. https://documentation.suse.com/sbp/all/ On Fri, Dec 18, 2020, 11:57 AM Carlos E. R. <robin.listas@telefonica.net> wrote:

Good day from Singapore,
Today 18 December 2020 Friday, I chanced upon a new discovery. On the SAP login page of our major client, I saw the following:
Client SAP ERP System
SAP SYSTEM NAME: Production
Product: SAP S/4HANA 1709 FPS 00

Ouch. This software is ancient. You can ask a seach engine for the lifecycle of SLES 12. Everything before SP 5 is out of support now. SLES 15 can be used. HDB AFAIK is currently supported with SP4 and SP5, this might be 2.00.040/050. I'm running the SAP software of my company on SLES for 17 years now. The systems (ERP 6.0 EhP 8) are patched with Service Pack Stacks once a year. We use SAP HANA instead of Oracle since 2017 and try not to be more than 3 months after the current release. I think it's best to buy SLES for SAP Applications. It contains much more software than the Standard SLES - it's a bit more costly, but includes 4h-Support Reaction time. HTH, Werner --
