I am running Leap with encrypted LVM (EXT4). Now, following indications of a bug report I have to install tentatively the kernel stable (which is now 4.7 something). I selected the base package. But trying to boot I get a failing cryptsetup due apparently to dependency error.
I really do not recall any more if I have to install supplemental packages for running kernel stable with leap. If anybody could give me a short refresher telling me what package I am missing, I would be grateful.
You probably confuse systemd unit dependency and package dependency. What is exact error message? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Failed to start cryptographic setup Devmapper:table:254:0:crypt:unknown target type
When I boot with the normal kernel no problem.
Then there is at the end a title in yellow: depend: dependency failed.
kernel-default-base does not include dm-crypt (or most part of what is expected to be in kernel in general). Why did you select this flavor? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
