Can anyone on the list tell me what the bits in Star Office are called in SuSE 7.3 Pro under YAST 2? I thought I had uninstalled it, but if I click on a text file with a green "?", the Star Office install script starts again. Cheers, Brian

Have you installed SO as a user? Network?? What do you want to launch when you click on such a file? Mike -- "You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on." -- Dean Martin

When I installed 7.3 Pro on my new dual boot box, Star Office was installed as well. It didn't bother me at first, but then I saw Star Office on another box and almost hurled ;-) I have never used it on my box and thought I had gotten all of the pieces off. As to what I would like to use instead, I am not sure. I have Applixware 5.0, but that doesn't seem to be under development at this time. SuSE has a list for it, but only in German! Anyway, the files are .rtf and were created in Advanced Editor, so the obvious thing to do is to use the same program to open them. Cheers, Brian

Hi, there! This's will show how "green" (pun intended) a newbie I still am. On Sunday, 12 May 2002 22:14, Brian Durant wrote:

Of course, I know what a "?" is, but what is a " green '?' "? -- Regards, gr, in /usually/ sunny, balmy Florida's Suncoast. Face loft: n. A face lift gone wrong.

The icon shows that the file has not been associated yet, I believe. This is fine, something I can allways change in Konq, but the underlying problem is still that I have been unsuccessful in getting all of the Star Office bits uninstalled with YAST 2. Cheers, Brian
