I have just installed Linux for the first time. The network is a tcp/ip Win95 setup. I can ping all others machines on the network by name except my Linux box. I can ping the linux box by ip address. I can also telnet in from the Win95 boxes by ip address. The linux box does not appear in the win95 network neighborhood. Obviously I can't use SAMBA shares until it does. What am I doing wrong?
