No CDDB access with Konqueror ?
Amazing ! When I access an audio CD via Konqueror with the command audiocd:/ then I only get a list of the tracks, like : track01.cda track02.cda etc. No album and track titles are obtained from the CDDB. However, when accessing the same CD with kscd, I get the correct name of the album and the correct names of the tracks. Looks like Konqueror is not able to access the CDDB, while kscd is able to do so !? Any ideas how I could tackle this ? Can I instruct Konqueror somewhere where it should go for the lookup ? Look at the subfolders. Charles -- "The move was on to 'Free the Lizard'" -- Jim Hamerly and Tom Paquin (Open Sources, 1999 O'Reilly and Associates)

I beg your pardon, which subfolders ? If you mean the subfolders that Konqueror is showing for the audiocd/: as I said --> they all only show a list of the tracks, like : track01.cda track02.cda etc. No album and track titles are obtained from the CDDB. This applies to ALL subfolders. I still believe that my Konqueror cannot find the CDDB. Greetings, -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands

Check the settings in KControl=>"Sound & Multimedia"=>"Audio CDs"=>"CDDB Settings" Charles -- "Calling EMACS an editor is like calling the Earth a hunk of dirt." -- Chris DiBona on Dirt (Open Sources, 1999 O'Reilly and Associates)

Are you sure you check the subfolders? The names don't show up in the main folder. You should have at least these folders:(1) <Album Name>, By Name, By Track and Information. If you have Ogg Vorbis installed you should have an Ogg Vorbis directory. If you have lame, a MP3 directory. Track names show up in the <Album Name>, By Name, Ogg Vorbis and MP3 directories. Yes, I'm 100% certain. Would you mind if I send you a screencapture ? -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands
