It could be a bad keyboard. Can you try another one?

I bet it's the keyboard also. Thanks, George -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Is the keyboard wireless? If so, are the batteries running down? Dylan

Try less coffee, especially for the keyboard. There's a skip full of them out the back of work, how many do you want? (offer only valid in Canberra, Australia) Mind you I've tried lots and none of them can spell very wll... ;^) -- Michael James michael.james@csiro.au System Administrator voice: 02 6246 5040 CSIRO Bioinformatics Facility fax: 02 6246 5166 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Seeing the same thing here. Also seeing it on SLES 10 so have opened an SR with Novell: This is a triple-boot machine. (same key-board). suse-10.0 no problem suse-10.1 and SLES-10 both exhibit the problem. (all installed in 32 bit mode) My processor particulars dual core athalon 64 3800 xp+ Neo motherboard 2 SATA hardrives 1.5 gig memory. Interestingly, I only se this in X. text consoles are ok. I _had_ the same problem. Just increase the keyboard delay to about 700 in "personal manager --> peripherals --> keyboard" and you will be ok. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2

Ha, so I'm NOT crazy! I've got another thread going right now on this exact same subject. I found that if I roll back to the stick 10.1 kernel everything is ok... but the newest kernel is impossible to use. Everyone tells me I have a defective keyboard, but it's not the keyboard... the keyboard is fine.. it's the damn kernel. Increasing keyboard delay or turnign off repeat sort of solves the problem... but it's not the RIGHT solution.... hopefully now that more peopel are saying they have the problem... and there is a bug report? maybe it'll be fixed.... What SR or bug is open on it? C.
