After logging out with Restore Previous Session box activated (without closing xconsole) ... at the next login I didn't get my console. This was happening also in 7.3, i am using 8.0 now. At the command Alt+F2 xconsole I get the error: Couldn't open console What can I do to get back xconsole in KDE 3.0 startup ??? 10x
