[opensuse] opensuse 11.1 dup is always showing the same packages
Dear all, I am running opensuse 11.1 from a clean install and whenever I do a 'zypper -n dup' it always lists the same packages although when I use rpm -q to check the version of the package, it seems that the package has already been updated. Is this a problem with a corrupted zypper db or is this a known bug? Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It may be https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431139 but try zypper clean first, don't forget if you cache your downloaded rpms they will be deleted so back them up if you need them. If you are running "zypper dup" on 11.1, with the repos pointed to 11.1 repos, then you already have 11.1 and can not do a "distribution update" to 11.1. You see the expected behaviour. Please explain what you really want to do. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. If you do a zypper dup or distribution upgrade on an up to date 11.1 with only 11.1 repos it shouldn't install anything. Maybe op wants a zypper up or update. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do you have the packman repo enabled? They do this with me? (The mpeg packages etc.) Which packages keep getting reinstalled? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
