There is also command line programs to do this, it is either called
`adduser` or `useradd`. You can also do it by hand (not recommened on a
busy site). Most people write custom shell scripts to do their "dirty work"
for them, like if they need to enter customer information (address, city)
into an sql database, things like that.

I don't belive that there is anything special you need to do.. All you really need to do is to secure the box VERY WELL.. At my previous position i ran a server that was dedicated for student shell access.. Hmm..
