If I enter rw in yast my clients can mount the shares. If I enter rsze=8192, wsize=8192 the client reports permission denied. Server is a Sempron with 10.1 x86-64 the client 10.1 with 32 bit. Just want to see if I can tweak a little more speed on the client. Any ideas? Steve.

i had a similar case some years ago and the problem turned out to be extra spaces in my parameter list. NFS is *extremely* picky about the format of the exports file, and won't warn you about may [potential[ problems in the config file. Try: man 5 exports for more details, and follow the syntax *exactly* (that means: no adding spaces to pretty up the file). -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W.
