RE: [SLE] auto install
That's what I thought, but I can't find any problems: # /suse/setup/descr/info ... ... AUTO_FDISK 2 AUTO_FDISK_DISK_TABLE /dev/hda $I:/suse/setup/descr/part_test NO_ASK_SWAP 1 AUTO_LILO 2 ... ... the file 'part_test' exists on boot floppy in the mentioned directory. However, I've have the idea that the '$I' is not correct. It points to the install medium, and that's CD. So, how do I tell Yast the partitioning scheme is on floppy??? Regards Harry

I've dropped it a few days ago, but no response.... Could anyone PLEASE help me with the auto install of 7.3???
I've created a bootfloppy as mentioned in the documents regarding auto-install, and everything goes ok. But when the install reaches the partitioning part the system fails. It only shows the present

but that's it. No automatic partitioning....
Does anyone has a clue???
One idea is that you've either placed the file in the wrong directory, or formatted it wrongly.
Check tty4 if you're at the console (ctrl-alt-F4). That's where yast logs error messages during install. There may also be relevant messages on ctrl-alt-F10

This appears wrong. AUTO_FDISK_DISK is the variable for the device to be partitioned, and AUTO_FDISK_TABLE is the name of the table file $D is the floppy path, I think. HTH Anders
