Re: [SLE] virtual hosting (mail)
Thanks for the help! It works now :) I just had to ad the name of the virtual domain in (yast) system administration -> network configuration -> configure sendmail -> expert mode -> domain names for local delivery Like you said, it's really simple once you know. Yast does have some advanced setup of Sendmail. Basically just add the Domain in Setup with a space: domain1.com Domain2.com and in access add the Domain too and run SuSEConfig

I have a computer with static IP and a "real" host/domain name like host.domain.tld running SuSE 6.3. I also have another domain (newdomain.tld) that is pointing at my IP, I have set up a virtual web server with Apache (that was easy :).
I also want the server to accept emails for the virtual domain and deliver them to the local users, that is, mail to user@newdomain.tld should me delivered to user@host.domain.tld or user@localhost. I have looked in the Virtual Services HOWTO and http://www.sendmail.org/virtual-hosting.html but that doesn't help _me_ much. Do I really have to get into that kind of obfuscated sendmail configuration or is there an easier way of doing this? Maybe with YaST?
