Yesterday I was experimenting (aka playing-around) with GNOME in a test login and tried to bring up the WindowMaker manager. Zero luck.... I use ctwm here and am looking for another wm that may have better devel tools or some kind of integrated development environment. I've poked around with wmaker here (FBSD), and it looks good. So why would it be missing from my SuSE distribution? I installed virtually everything. Do I need to run ``wmakerconf'' by hand first? Has anyone else bumped into this? thanks, gary -- Gary D. You will also have to run wmaker.inst which will copy the required files into your home directory to get it working. It is part of the distribution:
wmaker under series xwm.
You will also have to run
wmaker.inst
which will copy the required files into your home directory to get it working.
Yep; wmaker.inst did it. The Gnome `Control-Center' script is probably missing this line in my world. WM looks nice. thanks much, gary -- Gary D.
