Everything I start up the computer, I have to go to the KDE Control Panel/Sound/IO and change the sound server setup from either autodetect to OSS or any other program and then click apply. It asks if I want to restart the sound server...I click yes... and BAM!, I have sound (background sounds, system sounds, built-in mp3 player,etc). But if I have to restart the computer, I have to go thru the whole process over again. It seems to reset itself after every powercycle. Is there a file or configuation I should check?
