(Don't forget to change all the passwords again since they where truncated when you first entered them. No, this does not prevent your password from truncting after 8 characters. The normal crypt() can only handle 8 characters. Read /usr/share/doc/packages/pam/README.md5 But I would not use it. Hi ! Does some one have successfully installed Linux (pocket linux or any other dist) on a 3Com Palm III ? (I will like some info. about it to try by my self) thanks bye --ed

This is a non-trivial task since it requires fiddling with the hardware itself. I don't have any practical experience with it, though... Hello, I strongly suggest you have a look at www.handhelds.org and join one or more of the mailing lists.
