Hello, saturday my AWARD BIOS started reporting "Primary Master Hard Disk Failed"... argghh! It was the disk (IBM DHEA 4.3 GB) hosting my MBR with LILO and the not enough blamed W$. Now, I tried to recognize and configure again the disk with BIOS, I checked the cables and switched the HD with my other IDE disk (QUANTUM EL7.6) in order to try to "wake" the HD, but got no success. The HD switches on, when I keep it in hand it "is" on, powered, and whistles as usual. Anyway, at boot it rattles a bit, something like the sound of the heads. Have you got any hint or howto link, or whatever trick in order to recover any data, before trashing the unit?? Any help would be much more than a blessing. TIA, Stefano
