I am wondering if there is someone who uses similar configuration. I'm interested in getting better control of, especially shutting down connection. So far I'm very satisfied with the results, and regret taking so long to use it. cheers, peter

You can control diald if it is compiled with the fifo option. You can also send it specific signals, for example SIGINT will drop the current connection but leave diald running. For more information, see the following man pages: diald, diald-ctrl, diald-control.
