[opensuse] listing directories in tree format?
Hi all; I used to have a script for displaying only directories in tree format but can't seem to find it. I've tried various cli commands using ls but no luck, all the files are displayed and not in tree fashion. the command, "ls -lARhd" comes closest. My interpretation of man ls tells me the -d should limit the display to only directories but it doesn't do that. Any suggestions? "ls -d <directory>" will display the directory information, without -d it will list the contents of the directory. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-1.2°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Per; That didn't do what I wanted. It did list the directories but not in tree format. Found "tree" which does it. Thanks for responding though. -- Tom Taylor - retired penguin openSuSE 11.3 x86_64 openSUSE 11.4M1 x86_64 KDE 4.5.00, FF 3.6.8 claws-mail 3.7.6 registered linux user 263467 linxt-At-comcast-DoT-net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
