First install the wireless tools from suse 8.0.
Done.
Then once you have aeverything installed, there is a configuration file, /etc/wlan.conf you need to configure. If you don't use encryption, only one thing you need to configure, SSID.
It's actually /etc/wlan/wlan.conf in SuSE. But I changed the SSID to the correct value.
Once this is done, try modprobe on the prism2 drivers and you should be all set.
Could you give me a more specific command to use? I've never used modprobe so I'm not sure how to run it on the prism2 drivers. I'm also not entirely sure that I have the prism2 drivers. How can I find out?
Wireless devices are wlan0, not eth0.
SuSE found my card ("Harris Semiconductor") and configured it as eth1. How can I change this to wlan0? Thank you for your help! Hopefully I can have this up and running so that I can keep moving myself over to Linux... --Branton Boehm _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
